PreviewBuilt and in use with Studio; not yet published for download

Studio from your terminal.

axiom is a thin command-line client for AXIOM Studio. Sign in through your browser, start a session with a persona, send it a message and watch the team work, without leaving the shell.

What it does.

# sign in with a device code in your browser
axiom login
axiom whoami

# work with a session
axiom session start
axiom session list
axiom session send
axiom session turns
axiom session watch

# see and revoke your CLI sign-ins
axiom auth sessions
axiom auth revoke
axiom logout

Command names as built; arguments are in the CLI's help.

How it works.

  • Browser sign-in, no password in the shell

axiom login uses the OAuth 2.0 device authorization flow: you confirm a code in the browser, with the same identity you use for Studio.

  • Short-lived, revocable tokens

The access token lives 15 minutes. The refresh token is the only thing stored on disk, readable only by you, rotated on every use and revocable from axiom auth revoke.

  • No method files on your machine

Personas, process and context are served by Studio. The CLI carries none of them.

  • The same API as the browser

Every command calls the same endpoint Studio's web app uses for the same screen. There is no CLI-only API.

What’s next.

  • Moves onto the AXIOM SDK, so its types come from the API description.
  • watch becomes a live stream instead of polling every few seconds.
  • Published for download once distribution is decided.
